Visiting someone in prison

Our Family Visitor Centre is a place to connect, love, support and heal – a warm, positive meeting point for families, friends and other visitors to Bunbury Regional Prison.

Breaking down barriers

When a loved one winds up on the other side of prison walls, relationships are often the first to feel the strain. For you on the outside, it’s normal to feel hopeless, disconnected, even afraid. Yet while you’ll be physically separated from the person you care about, it’s possible to break down emotional barriers and connect in meaningful ways – sometimes even better than before.

To ensure you get the maximum benefit from your visits, we’ve provided a range of support services including lockers for personal belongings, toddler-friendly indoor and outdoor play areas, social supports before and after visits, light refreshments and help drafting Statutory Declarations and other forms. Our goal is to make visits a positive experience for all by providing a safe and secure environment to make contact, access information, and prepare yourselves for the road ahead.
