Prison Visitor Services

Visiting a loved one or friend in prison can be tough, both practically and emotionally. That’s why we’ve developed our Prison Visitor Services - to help people in prison connect with their family and friends.

We co-ordinate the Prison Family Visitor Centre located outside Bunbury Regional Prison on Centenary Drive in Bunbury. It’s a staffed environment that makes visiting someone in prison a positive and rewarding experience.

Here’s what our services and the centre provide:

  • A family-friendly environment with tea and coffee making facilities
  • Lockers where you can store valuables that are not permitted to be taken into Bunbury Regional Prison during formal visits
  • Help completing the necessary paperwork to visit people in Western Australian prisons
  • Information on a range of essential social support services
  • A complimentary bus service that leaves from Bunbury Central Bus Station at 12:10pm on Thursday, stopping at Bunbury Railway Station at 12:20 pm on its way to Bunbury Regional Prison (returning from Bunbury Regional Prison at 2:20pm)

The Prison Family Visitor Centre hours are:

  • Monday - Wednesday, 9:00am - 12:00 noon and 12:30pm - 3:00pm
  • Friday - Sunday, 9:00am - 12:00 noon, and 12:30pm - 3:00pm
  • Thursday, 9:00am - 3:00pm
